601-33 was a Nakajima built A6M5 flown by a wingman of 601st Kokutai, Japan, December, 1944.
The 1st Carrier Division was created on November, 15, 1944. Aircraft carriers IJN Junyo, Ryuho, Unryu, Amagi
and Katsuragi were part of this 1st Carrier Division. This unit had only 24 fighters, 12 dive bombers and
12 torpedo bombers. On February, 10, 1945, the 601st Kokutai had been assigned as a shore-based unit.


601-01 was a Mitsubishi built A6M5 flown by a wingman of 601st Kokutai, Matsuyama airfield, Japan, January, 1945.
